Local Web Promotion is achieving a high ranking for local searches
|
The research is ongoing . . .
David Anders, The Computer Guy in Seattle has done the research. Do a search for "Local Web Promotion Seattle" or "Seattle Web Promotion" or "David Anders Seattle" the links should indicate whether my research has paid off.
|
The key is creating several free websites, several free blogs, business directory accounts, claiming your Google Places business listing, create the yellow page listings, creating the free profiles, collecting all the links, noting all your links, usernames, and passwords.
On those that permit it, you post all these links to create what is called by some a "Link Pyramid". This will give you visibility on many local searches, depending on your competition.
Automating the process of keeping your information current can be made easier with Posterous and Scribefire.
The setup can be confusing, the first time. Doing the setup for "Seattle Web Promotion" starting on Aug 1st 2011 was my fifth test run.
You and your business will end up with all the accounts listed under "Business Web Basics" and a free website on five different services.
I can hear you thinking "WHY, would I want five websites? I already have one." The answer is "because".
